It s gel like and the indentations created with elbow poses don t go away. I run the end through my yoga paws before the fit the end over the mat and this still works great. Like tucked corners or grippy dots as i see often with yoga towels the mat also has a very strong smell. I bought the black fit spirit tree of life exercise yoga mat bag and i am so pleased with it.

It is almost too squishy and makes one legged poses very difficult and i have good balance. I had to let it air out for like 2 days and then when i finally used it it was still a bit distracting. Because i wear glasses i also open a hard glasses case put the strap inside then close it so i have protection for my glasses when i go to a yoga class and take them off.

I wanted to like this yoga mat so badly but i just can t get it to grow on me.
